Includes return travel by luxury coach, entrance to the Food Museum and 2-course school dinner.
The Food Museum, formerly the Museum of East Anglia, is Suffolk’s largest independent museum with walled garden, farm, orchard, and water mill. The museum connects people with where our food comes from, past, present and future using a collection of over 40,000 objects, 17 historic buildings and 75 acres of farmland, woodland and parkland. New for 2025 is an exhibition on the theme of school dinners. From nutrition and popular culture to government policy and campaigners, the exhibition will take you on a journey to explore the past, present and future of school food. Does the thought of school food fill you with dread or nostalgic delight? Have you ever thought about how school meals came to be? Should school meals be free for everyone? Discover the answers to these questions and more on our visit to the Food Museum and enjoy a 2-course nostalgic school dinner, specially curated for the exhibition. At time of printing the price and menu have yet to be confirmed. Please state any dietary requirements at time of booking.
PLEASE NOTE: The pick-ups excursion will be in reverse of the normal route, starting in Takeley and finishing in Halstead, so the pick-ups will be on the opposite side of the road to normal. At the end of the day the drop offs will start at Halstead.
